About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Revista Colombiana de Endocrinología, Diabetes y Metabolismo publishes research articles, review papers, and clinical cases of interest to the scientific community and health professionals, specialists, and residents of endocrinology and other medical specialties that make use of research in this area. The journal is published continuously in digital format, with four issues published in each volume. The journal operates under the diamond open access model, with a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives (BY-NC-ND) license. The Colombian Association of Endocrinology (ACE, for its acronym in Spanish) finances the journal entirely, as it does not charge submission or publication costs to authors.

Manuscripts received by the journal are peer-reviewed; therefore, it adopts a double-blind system to guarantee as much independence and scientific integrity as possible in selecting its contents. Regarding the acceptance of the manuscript submission, and as the backbone of its process management, the journal adheres to the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
