Abstract
- Se presentan las observacion iniciales de un trabajo en equipo a largo plazo realizado por la A.C.D., en 108 pacientes diabéticos, 26 hombres y 82 mujeres de edades comprendidas entre 15 y 70 años en quienes se realizan un estudio sobre la angiopatía diabética y selectivamente la AF en la retina, en su etapa denominada “back-ground'.
- Se estima que la AF es de gran valor para el estudio de la retinonopatía diabética en su fase “background”, así como también para valorar los efectos terapéuticos de los procedimientos que se practican en algunos casos para mejorarla.
- En la AF por vía venosa se hallan las siguientes alteraciones: microaneurismas, dilatación venosa y obliteración capilar.
- En un trabajo de confrontación a largo plazo, se resumen los hechos más notorios que caracterizan las manifestaciones de la retinopatía en su etapa llamada “back-ground” por la AF sin pretender establecer conclusiones y queriendo con esta colaboración contribuir al estudio médico de esta angiopatía en el medio colombiano.
