Abstract
Objectives. The objective of this review is to know in the current context the use of the numerous eponyms of hyperthyroidism of the nineteenth century, and to describe the corresponding history.
Contents. Using the keywords in various databases, we found information between 2012-2022. Later we narrate the story of facts and characters involved in the first observations on the hyperthyroid exophthalmic goiter.
Contributions. The use of the eponyms of hyperthyroidism has been significantly reduced, and the current trend is to use descriptive words and a system of codes that allows to explain more clearly the disease that affects a given patient, when it comes to sending a collection account.
