Abstract

The current situation of pandemic generated by the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, by its morbid-mortality, has caused the scientific community to be implementing different treatment strategies for its management. This is the case of vitamin C, the main non-enzymatic antioxidant in plasma (1), which has been used for the prevention of respiratory infections and for the treatment of sepsis in critical patients. This article aims to review the evidence surrounding the role of vitamin C as a possible adjuvant in the management of patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection.
