Abstract
Se hace un estudio comparativo de los valores obtenidos en dos pruebas de funcionamiento tiroideo, la captación tiroidea del I131, tanto temprana como tardía y la yodoproteinemia. Las cifras obtenidas para la captación de I131 fueron muy similares para las tres ciudades, lo que se atribuyó a una ingestión uniforme de yodo inorgánico en Colombia, gracias a la yodinación de la sal. Se encontró además que nuestras cifras para la captación eran inferiores a las obtenidas en otras ciudades de Latinoamérica o de Estados Unidos, lo que se atribuyó a una mayor ingestión de yodo inorgánico, en nuestro país. Las cifras de yodoproteinemia también fueron muy similares para las tres ciudades.
